Radio Birikina festeggia Chubby Checker

Ernest Evans, conosciuto con il nome d’arte di Chubby Checker, nasce il 3 ottobre 1941. Da sempre affascinato dal mondo della musica, inizia come cantante di Rock and roll. Nel 1960 pubblica il brano “The Twist” che viene ripreso nel 1988 insieme al trio hip hop “The Fat Boys”. La canzone che lo ha reso famoso in tutto il mondo è “Let’s Twist Again”.

Nel 1965 sposa Catharina Lodders, eletta nel 1962 Miss Mondo.
